I'm Lauren Lee... owner of Mai Creative Co.

-What do you make/create/do?

I'm a freelance multimedia designer - fluent in photography, graphic design and web design.

-What is the inspiration behind your work?

The creatives in my life heavily inspire me. Plus, since I work mostly on my own, I tend to ask the closest people to me for feedback so I also heavily rely on them! I'm super grateful to have such interesting people around me to bounce concepts and work ideas off of. 

-What is one thing that is different about the work that you create, compared to others in your field?

I think (or would like to think) that I really get to know the folks that I work with!  Design isn’t a ‘one-size-fits-all’ biz, and each client brings a different set of characteristics and personality to the drawing board. I try to really listen!

-What is a dream project/opportunity that you hope to get to do one day?

Oh my gosh, that is TOUGH... I would love to design and shoot a fragrance brand one day. Scent isn’t often considered in graphic design and photography - so I would love the chance to work with it!

-Take this opportunity to tell us about another local artist/creator that you love... Who is putting out cool shit that keeps you inspired and excited?

I absolutely adore everything Alana and Ange from Black Market Provisions put out. It's not only the end products and snacks - but the initial ideas and thought that go into them are just 12/10!
